ELLEN OCHOA - The first Latina astronaut to enter Space
 
In 1993, Ellen Ochoa became the first Latina woman to go into space! She totaled nearly 1000 hours in orbit across different space missions and has since gone on to be the first Latina director of NASA Johnson’s Space Centre. Ellen is now an advocate for girls and minorities in the science, technology, engineering and math fields!
